ARENE Ile de France and Ile de France Regional Direction of Ademe have joined together to support the biomass energy sector in Ile de France.

These structures have asked Zen'to to built the graphic identity and a communication portal website intended to promote the sector and their actors in Ile de France.

The company

ARENE (Regional Agency for Environment and New Energies) Ile de France is an organization associated to the Regional Council who participate the sustainable development implementation in Ile de France.

ADEME (French Agency for the Environment and Energy Management) is a public institution supervised by French ministry of Ecology,  French ministry of Education and French ministry of Research.

The fields of intervention are the energy management, the promote of renewable energies, the air quality, the wastes, the environmental management, the polluted sites and the noise.

For each perimeter, the two agencies are a sensitization and communication action of populations all around the renewable energies. They are a role of initiatives development and projects in these domains.

The problematic

The biomass represents today the first renewable energy source, before hydro-electric power and wind turbine. Besides, the energy production from biomass has been identified as a major stake in "Grenelle Environment"


Indeed, to reach at 25% renewable energies in final energy consumption in our country, all the sectors will must mobilize. The product energy based on biomass will be estimate to 17.9 Mtep against 9.5 Mtep (2006). In the transport sector, the biofuel should represents in 2020, 4 Mtep.

They are a biomass evolution potential in energy production:

  • the use of wood in collective and domestical heating ;
  • the use of household wastes biodegradation
  • the development of biofuel


The development of biomass sector becomes an essential stake in renewables energies development in Ile de France and in all France

ARENE and ADEME support biomass use initiative for power production and a business sector allowing to develop the service offer.

In this optic, ARENE is associated with Francilbois who represents the actors of wood sector in Ile de France. To help in the development of this community, many actions are begun:

  • A background workd on sector organization , especially the definition of labels and quality criterias
  • A communication work with the implementation of information days, site visites and the implementation of web communication tool

The goal of Internet website is to made a reference for biomass informations . This reference contains informations synthesis for every kind of actors.

 

Zen'to solution

Zen'to has accompanied ARENE and ADEME in:

  • the website graphic identity conception and sector logo conception;
  • The contents in portal website and the contribution's organization  in differents actors (FRCA, CRA, etc.)
  • The implementation of website based on Joomla CMS, and integrated additionnal functionalities: calendar management, follow-up the contacts, sites mapping.
  • A publication space allows the website update for the contributors.the handling of tool for the administrator's autonomy, in website contents.

 

The website has been officially launched in May, 30th 2011 during the Regional Conference of Energy organized by ARENE:
